Race System
Every hero is born from 9 trait slots. The races those traits belong to determine your hero's identity โ and dungeon power.
Race Classification
After forging, the engine counts how many traits belong to each race and assigns one of four labels. The label drives the hero's badge, card colour, and dungeon affinity calculation.
Pure
9 / 9 traits from one race
All 9 trait slots belong to the same race. The rarest outcome โ 75% pact bias makes it probable but never guaranteed.

Dominant
Top race leads by โฅ 3 traits
One race clearly leads (e.g. 7 Demon, 2 Frostfire). Still shows single-race label but boost is proportional to trait count.

Hybrid
Two races within 3 of each other
Neither race dominates cleanly (e.g. 5 Demon, 4 Frostfire). Both races contribute to the boost if the dungeon has affinity for them.

Unknown
No race has โฅ 3 traits
Traits are too scattered across races to form any affinity. Only possible with no race pact โ standard random rolling across all 6 races.

How Dungeon Boost Works
Step 1 โ Count traits
Each of the 9 trait slots belongs to exactly one race. The engine tallies the count per race after generation.
Step 2 โ Check affinity
Each dungeon has race affinities. A race must have โฅ 3 traits to qualify for any boost at all.
Step 3 โ Proportional sum
Boost = ฮฃ (trait count รท 9) ร affinity for every qualifying race.

Pro Tips
Race Pact
For each of the 9 trait slots, there is a 75% chance it pulls from your chosen race's exclusive trait pool โ and a 25% chance it falls through to a pre-assigned secondary race. The secondary race is locked at generation so you always end up with a clean 2-race blend.
Pact + Blessing
Blessing applies to ALL 9 slots. The engine rolls the target rarity first (e.g. 45% Legendary with Aether Blessing), then race pact tries to fill from its pool at that rarity. Both the 75% primary race slots and the 25% secondary race slots honour the same blessing weights.
Team Synergy
Sending 3+ heroes of the same pact race to their favored dungeon stacks the Synergy Bonus on top of each hero's individual race boost.
Hybrid Advantage
Hybrid heroes still benefit from two dungeon affinities simultaneously โ useful in multi-race dungeons like Eternal Flame.
